Customer Review: Yakity Yaxtrax

I purchased two sets of Yaxtrax, one for work and one for home. The set for work lasted two weeks before breaking a cable. I haven't checked into customer service yet, but I don't think this product stands up to hard use (as in 10 hours/day for 3 to 4 continuous days).

However, the set for home use works great for running around in the ice and snow on a recreational basis.

Overall I think that Yaxtrax are a good idea that can get better with product R and D.

Customer Review: For walking on ice

A wonderful product. I live in northern Ohio near Lake Erie, and we get a good bit of freezing rain, or very slick surfaces to walk on. I have a golden retriver who needs a couple of hours of walking each day, no mater what the conditions. The Yaktax provide good traction and help me avoid falls (since I am 64 yrs old I don't bounce as well as I used to).



The only problem with the product is that they seem to have a relative short life -- walking as I do about 5 to 6 miles per day, some on ice and some on bare surfaces. I admit I am hard on them and they really work but it seems I get about 1 mo use of of each pair.
